Artist Ron Garrett will be featured in an educational and historic exhibition including his original prints, sculptures and paintings combined with recycled materials and everyday found objects.
This exhibition will focus on the ocean tides’ influence and effects through processes of change and corrosion to man-made objects. The focus is on the poetry of the forces of nature, decay as well as the corrosive power of saltwater on human endeavors. This exhibition is in collaboration and in support of the City of Delray Beach Climate and Art Event scheduled for October 4 & 5, 2019 to raise awareness of rising tides and impact on our city.
Ron Garrett has exhibited in numerous one-person and group shows over his 30-year art career – including a visiting artist sojourn to Bangalore, India, where he curated a touring international exhibition of American Print makers.
"My sculptures are meant to remind the viewer that once a stricken vessel lies on the bottom, new life begins, as corrosion brings marine algae and coral, and the slow buildup of reef life." - Ron Garrett
Currently, Ron is founder of “RAGA PRESS” a fine art printmaking atelier in Boca Raton, Florida. He has taught visual art at prestigious private schools in the area and conducts workshops at Art Armory in West Palm Beach.
